CPSC Strawberry Festival

Saturday, May 2, 2020 - 11am to 3pm

The 2019 Strawberry Festival was a resounding success. Thank you to all our volunteers! We're already looking ahead to our 15th annual festival in 2020!

The Strawberry Festival is an annual, family-fun community held event in Downtown Durham, NC. It's hosted by the Central Park School for Children on the first Saturday in May at the Old North Durham Park, behind the CPSC Elementary School at 724 Foster Street. Now in our 15th year, we've been serving Strawberry Shortcakes and Chocolate dipped berries, dancing to fantastic local musicians, painting faces and fingernails, having fun in all kinds of activities and creating a strawberry-filled day each year where everyone can be a kid again. Come visit us at the 2020 Strawberry festival to celebrate another year together in Durham!

All funds raised at The Strawberry Festival support Central Park School for Children's Monarch Fund, which cultivates paths of access for students at our school. It supports offerings of transportation, nutrition, after-school care, club/camp/field trip scholarships, and technology equipment.

We recommend parking in one of the two big parking lots just south of the Farmers' Market, as shown in the map below. We will have SHUTTLE BUSES running every 15 minutes (11am to 4pm) between those two lots and the festival. Please leave on-street parking near the school for neighboring businesses and residents. Thank you!
